Reliquaries

A reliquary is a sacred vessel or container designed to hold religious relics, such as the bones, clothing, or other personal items of saints or holy figures. — each telling its own unique story. Although symbolic, my reliquaries are containers capable of holding human cremains (from 4 - 8 lbs). These three-dimensional house-like forms are constructed after the cross shape of the traditional Christian Church. That is, if one starts with a cross diagram and folds it inwards, it forms a house like the simple house shape of my reliquaries. And while not not specifically religious in intent, I call these Reliquaries which, by holding corporeal objects and memories, they provide a tangible connection between the terrestrial and the spiritual.

Stories are relics, part of an undiscovered pre-existing world.
