Expressive Figuration

This current series focuses on ‘expressive figuration’, that is, the human figure both in public spaces (as drawings from photos I’ve taken of the NYC Subway) as well as within invented, atmospheric spaces. It is a commentary on culture and personal and interpersonal interaction (objective and subjective), observed and imagined — and like life, ever in flux.

Being human always points, and is directed, to something, or someone, other than oneself—be it meaning to fulfill or another human being to encounter.
